am not sure what is 50-70,
but can you please let me know if the diesel lag that is supposed to appear when accelerating from standing still (don't have the car yet so am guessing about this lag, from what I read so far) , disappeared /reduced?

Thanks
Chris
50 to 70 mph. Mid range acceleration. I never try to accelerate (i.e. race off or floor the pedal) from a standing start, just drive normally, so have never previously noted any lag there. I will try it next time out!
Short trip this morning - only 5 miles and obviously from cold. No perceptible lag from start or from 30-50 once warmed up.

Thanks for the feedback, Pjm.

Now I have to wait for the car to arrive :)

Well, my T5 is booked in this coming Friday for the polestar treatment so will report back on the differences, which I understand are more mid ranged focused than anything :-)

Will be very interesting to hear your feedback Telboy, especially to see if you find anything significantly different on your T5 compared to my D4.

Ooo nice one. I almost went for it last week but wondered if the extra couple of hp was worth it - more interested in the torque increase from 258 to 295...can't wait for your feedback.

Thank you pjm007 for the D4 Polestar information, I found it all very useful.

My First Edition D4 is due the beginning of October and I'm giving serious consideration to the Polestar upgrade.

Maybe check the offer dates with your dealer, and the need to pre-book or pre-pay? I think the £140 discount offer might expire in September.

Will do pjm007, looking forward to the mid range gain as the T5 is not too shabby on the sprint anyway, although I have heard that the power increase takes the T5 more in line to 265bhp so time will tell as there's nothing like real world testing with these things, especially as I understand this to be more about optimising the engine/transmission combination so looking forward to it. Plus if it's not that great, I've got the 14 day trial just in case ;-)
