Whining noise

Hello all,

Am the owner of a new XC40 B3 Mild Hybrid and am enjoying the car very much except for one annoying issue. I can hear a high pitched/whining nose when the engine is on, it seems to come after ive driven a little while and the engine has warmed up.

It's audible over the radio on low and over the general engine noise. Wondering if this has been mentioned previously on here, I have searched but couldnt find anything.

Sorry those just seem to link to photos for me.

Sounds like the turbo, mine can be heard at times.

Bit hard to hover using an iPad….having listened it’s nothing like the turbo sound I get which is more of a whistle as you accelerate.

The noise is really annoying and audible over just general talking on medium volume radio.

Booking car in with servicing team to investigate.

I had a similar vnoise but morev like a cricket chirping. Diagnosed as aux belt & tensioner problem, replaced under warranty at 10,000 miles.
