The XC60 is still sold with DCT+AWD, which is a relief, otherwise I would be really concerned about spares. The DCT XC40 can only have been sold for around a year with the AWD option. I did wonder if the cost of the AWD + DCT was too much for the XC40 price point but I'm still surprised they dropped the option.

Most likely down to needing to get their average CO2 across all vehicle sales to an acceptable level for taxationStovo wrote: ↑Sat Jun 29, 2024 9:05 pm Cannot understand why they do not produce a B3 or B4 version of theC40, I know they are aggressively pursuing an all electric policy, but reckon they have missed a potential revenue stream by not doing so. Add that to getting rid of AWD, plug in hybrid and no B5 in UK market, is just does not make sense.
B5 - higher CO2
AWD - higher CO2

It does indeed, I stand corrected. When I was buying my XC40 I went for a test drive in the XC60 AWD as it was still available new with AWD but the price was prohibitively expensive. However, I'm sure I checked and it had the same drivetrain....must have been a senior moment!
