Refitting an electric towbar on new XC40

I have a 2021 plate XC40 and I have the electric volvo towbar fitted , I am currently waiting for a new XC40 to be delivered to the dealership a 2024 plate does anyone know if my towbar off the 21 plate will need a new towbar module when this is refitted to my new XC40 or can the old towbar module be reset to go on the new XC40 or will a new module be needed.

The best person to assist would be the person who’ll be removing/fitting the tow bar surely? And what if it does need a new module, will you not bother? OTOH you could give Road Radio in Crawley a call, they’re long time nationwide towbar fitting company. They might help.
