Savant, if you turn off Auto Hold and stop with final light brake pressure the engine will keep running.

I have discovered a better option.

On traffic light or any brief stops, I now switch to manual M1 gear, which prevents the car from 'auto off' and as soon the car is moving, I switch back to D mode.
