I used them on my first car but was disappointed. They said the chips were too shallow to fill and just coated them with something. I thought the chips had to be ground out a bit to provide a good key?

Without grounding wiper blades can be damaged (if the chips are in wipers coverage area). The full professional treatment is to drill a small hole in the middle of the chip, fill with composite material, bond with UV lamp and ground out.

I dropped our XC60 in for a warranty repair and they noted a nail in a front tyre, repaired straight away FOC.
