XC40 body shape dirt accumulation in door sculpture

I don't know if it is just me but my 2023 XC40 seems to attract water/dirt build up the the sculptured section on the lower part of the doors. I have numerous cars in the past, before the XC40 I had a XC60. This one seems to attract a dirt film on the lower doors?
Anybody else noticed this phenomenon?

Having not washed the car for a few months I don't notice it anymore.

I found that fitting mudflaps all round helped.

Agree, mudflaps make a difference.

I've got the Volvo dealer fit Mudflaps and agree, much less dirt than my last XC40 without them.

I’d had mine for about 3 weeks and put mudflaps on, made a world of difference

I've had mud flaps front and read from new. Still get the dirt in the 'scoops'. But then I'm in the country, and the farmers like to overlay the roads with muck

Anyone any idea of price to supply and fit front and rear mud flaps to an XC40 as I may consider having them fitted prior to new car pick up.

My dealer fit at new were list £85 front £85 rear. Then I got a discount on that.

AliExpress ones are a perfect fit at a bargain price - fitted them to several cars over the years including our XC40 and XC60....
