I went out to the car on Saturday (23 plus model) and could not get any sound from anywhere. even the indicators were silent!. Drove 20 miles, parked and returned 2 hours later with and no obvious reason everything went back to normal. Radio on start up indicators making the noise! Any guesses what is going on here as I am perplexed.
This is fairly common with AAOS. If you don't want to wait for it to sort itself, resetting the main dispay should get it working.
Well I thought that the latest software had fixed the radio not coming on but got in today and it's back to having to start the radio myself.
I'd trade the car in but it looks like the used prices are falling off a cliff. I know they don't offer the best price but wbac are offering 25k for a one year old B4 ultimate - ridiculous.
I know they were artificially high for a period but second-hand prices and demand is supposedly still strong so I don't know why they are continuing to drop so much.

Nope not just that - a multitude of niggles with the thing.
Poor standard tyres with no grip ( eco contract 6 ).
Poor 360 cameras ( my Tiguan and 3 series were significantly better ).
Poor infotainment support for media.
The digital dash is very limited in what it shows ( maps or no maps ).
Blind spots at the rear.
Laggy acceleration.
Lane keep assist interferes too much even when switched off.
Tortoise symbol flashing up - who knows what that will end up being - dealer couldn't find anything - yet.
It seems to have got worse with each software update and is going down as one of the worst cars I've had ( maybe the VW Eos was worse because that leaked like a sieve ).

Didn’t you test drive before you purchased?
I insist on having the car for at least a 4 hour test drive
