Wheel balancing weights

New front tyres fitted - balancing weights visible. Not very aesthetic - is this standard practice? Thanks Chris

They can hide them if they try - they can put behind the nearest spoke and then offset the imbalance by placing other weights behind other spokes to correct it...

For some reason the weights on my Audi TT, having had all four tyres replaced, are positioned in difference places across the rim, some are at the back and some at the front like yours. And worse than yours as there are some long strips. I tend not to notice them as much now.

The original Volvo weights are black so you could always paint them to make them less obvious.

Other option is dark colored weights instead of those “silver fits all” ones:

Yes it’s normal. They’ll soon be black with brake dust
