Hi, lloking for some help, I've had my xc40 t5 recharge for 2 days now and it's fantastic. Looking for the mpg consumption display that changes as I accelerate is this fitted on these cars. I can find my average mpg but not my current

I'm not sure that this is available, I'll check on mine later.

Use the button on the right side of the steering wheel see button marked #6 here:

it is a bit of a faff but you can get instantaneous mpg displayed as I have.

As Emjay says, you can toggle to get your current mpg rather than average mpg.

Once you find it, easy to switch between the options you want 👍🏻

When I press button number 6 it controls the radio volume.

It’s the bottom left button at number 6 - the one with lines on…

Brings up the little sun menu on the drivers display, to be able to toggle between Trip / phone / media / nav 👍🏻

Yes I use that one to see my current MPG but I thought the OP wanted to see the real time mpg consumption display that changes with acceleration and deceleration, maybe I misunderstood.

That was my understanding as well. I've had it on previous cars but I don't really see the use of it given the widely varying values between accelerating and decelerating. I'd rather not know! I'm happy with knowing the average.

I would also like to display real time MPG (I can get the average from the app). I haven’t been able to access the sub-menu in the past, but I’ve Just found that that button only works when the ignition is on, but the engine is off.

I’ve toggled through the options, but can’t see real time MPG. I can only choose between average MPG for either of the trip counters (TA / TM), GPM, or neither.

On my last Volvo (XC60) I could toggle between average MPG and RT MPG whilst driving by pressing a button on the indicator stalk.

Best just enjoy the journey and the drive? Why worry about things?
