Something similar happened to me last year, turns out data roaming got deactivated on the car modem during service system software update. On central display go to Settings, Communication, Car Modem Internet, Network and make sure Data Roaming box is ticked.

Well, this is a bit odd. The mobile SIM is still advertised on Amazon as including roaming up to 12GB, in countries including France.

3 regard it as a PAYG plan and their website says whilst they're now charging on Pay Monthly plans taken out after Oct 21, it doesn't apply to PAYG.

In what you've posted it does say you have to unlock it to roam, it's not active by default.

Without any intervention from me the Three sim has sprung into life again. Now getting the globe internet symbol and a 4 bar signal strength with an “R” above it which I assume means data roaming is active. Checked internet access using the weather app which updates fine.
All turned out good in the end…

@Rifleman, whereabouts are you? Weather hot right now I'm guessing. We're hoping for a comfortable 25-28 in LV, Azay-le-Rideau area, in a few weeks.

5km west of Le Lude. 42deg in the shade yesterday.
Thunderstorm overnight, much more comfortable 28deg today. Local forecast is sunshine & rain, mid 20s for next 5 days then back to sunshine and low to mid 30s…
