Ordered XC40 B3 FWD Plus Dark with dealer early December 2022. To date, I have been told by dealer that no build dates have been given as yet and subsequent delivery dates are anybody’s guess !
Is anyone else having more joy from their dealers re. MY23 vehicles ?
MY23 - delivery dates
Hi Snicko. I ordered in late January (B4 FWD Plus Bright) and was told by the dealer that it would be built in late June and delivered in mid July. Some googling at the time found several statements from Volvo Cars that seemed to back that up - they were saying that if a customer ordered "now" (which was in early February), then they could expect delivery during July. I'm not going to start chasing the dealer up for build dates - I'll contact them at the end of May to check if things are still on track, and make my plans accordingly. It's out of my hands in any case, so I reckon there's no point getting stressed about it Also Volvo seem to be doing rather better than some other manufacturers - a neighbour ordered a VW Tiguan at the end of last year and was quoted delivery in December of this year - ouch. Best of luck to you with your order, hopefully it will go as smoothly as can be expected in the current situation.

No update as of yet and I ordered with CBV I was told it would be around 7-8 months although I'm unsure if I'll be missing any options due to the changes in the Ultimate pricelist.
FYI, since the start of the Russo-Ukrainian war there have been several production stoppages at the Ghent Volvo Cars plant, not only due to the well known chip shortages, but now also to the fact that dashboard frames from Poland do not always arrive JIT at the Ghent factory since there seems to be a lack of (now enlisted) Ukrainian truck drivers.
It meant and means that thousands of cars can’t be built as planned (Ghent plant assembly capacity = over 300,000 cars per year).
Moreover, car sales (so also Volvo car sales) all over the world are down significantly. In March, the Volvo Car Belux company sold some 27,000 cars (Recharge = about 50%), which is over 30 % less than in March 2021.
In Europe, Volvo cars first quarter 2022 sales are down more than 25 % compared to the first quarter of 2021, and the trend is also very clear in the rest of the world (China minus 22 %, the US minus 16,5 %, etc.).
Not a good sign for the world economy, if you ask me….
