Very pleased with my acquisition of the Volvo XC40 Inscription Pro,to which I had mudflaps fitted and a tempur spare wheel. It also has the Autoglym LifeShine, as it spends it's life outside in the elements. I particularly wanted the blond interior, which complements the Onyx Black paintwork.

Is the paint finish satisfactory, my 2021 Plug in T4 has very noticeable orange peel finish to the black paint , I have tried to capture but it is difficult
My additions are the wind deflectors, mudguards, LED flashing solar powered hubs, lol, Fitcam front n rear , LED sill protectors, LED door edge warning at night ( red and white flashing) , added subwoofer and audio control plus replaced all speakers with Pioneer ones and added lower rear door co-axial speakers tapped off upper rear door speakers

Hi Tim

Be very interested in knowing more about the speaker upgrades and adding the sub you’ve done…

Cheers

Fitcam front n rear
I've been looking at the FitcamX on line. Great idea that looks "factory fit". Some on-line reviews said simple to fit, others said they needed an auto-electrician. My biggest concern was potential interference with the electronics inside the mirror housing. Volvo warn against having a dash cam too close to the mirror. Have you had any problems with it Tim?

The radar unit for adaptive cruise control and emergency braking, together with camera for line assist are in the housing under the mirror. FitcamX always on Wi-Fi could interfere with the radar and heat could affect auto climate sensors located under the mirror. The installation video shows the dash cam being connected to the same line that’s powering the radar and line assist camera. I would not mess with that cable in my car and definitely not attach another power consumer to it.
