Key Box??

Hi all. A question for recent new owners please. Did you get a keys presented in a key box when you picked up your cars?

I am not a recent owner (Nov'19) as I was shown the box but then given just the keys. Someone else on here picked up a new XC40 a couple of months before at the same dealership and was presented the box with keys. Seems to really depended of the person.

Did you want the box?

Yes it would be nice to have to store they keys in as only need 1 set out.

Plastic bag? Lucky you... I got mine pushed towards me under a plastic screen with a pencil... (this could become the 4 Yorkshiremen sketch if you give me half a chance.,

I got a box. But the sales guy said they were phasing them out.

Got my car a bit more than 2 months ago, no box. Keys were handed in a cheap transparent plastic case. The salesperson told me that they used to give them in a nice box but then corporate decided to phase it out.

I purchased my own rather fine Faraday box in suede, thus I hope frustrating those villains who use signal amplifiers to steal keyless cars - apparently increasingly common!

You did know that the Volvo car keys have acceleration sensors, that shuts them off when not in use, didn't you?

You did know that the Volvo car keys have acceleration sensors, that shuts them off when not in use, didn't you?

The more recent cars have keys with sensors. Earlier ones don't have them and Faraday protection is your only safe option.
