Can you have more than one phone registered to the dongle and is it easy to swap between them e.g. what happens when there is more than one phone in nearby vicinity of the dongle? Which one connects?

You can have more than one registered yes. Although I haven’t tested this.

They claim it will connect to the one that was last connected first if both are in the car.

I’ve just received this and it’s fantastic

I know that it’s a lot of money to avoid plugging a cable in but the number of times I’ve set off and had to fiddle around to plug the cable in to use CarPlay is huge

It’s easy to set up and works perfectly so I’m well happy

I see it’s been a while since this the last comment in this thread. After the benefit of a couple of years experience is the feedback on this dongle still the same?

On a separate but related topic, is Volvo’s retrofitted CarPlay identical to the factory fit version?

My understanding is that even when specified with an order, Smartphone Integration (providing Android Auto and Apple CarPlay) is always a dealer fit.

I might be wrong.

Thanks for the replies I think I’ll add the smartphone integration to my order. Is there any further feedback on the wireless adaptor described in this thread or is the consensus that it’s still great?
