Port to dealer timescales...?

Hi All,

I’m sure that a lot of you will, like me, have tracked your vehicles production process as closely as you can with the help of your dealer.

I’ve just heard that my car will be in the UK port later today and was wondering if any of you have experience of how long it takes to get from the port to the dealer and then to you.

I recognise that there are lots of variables but it would be great to know other people’s timescales if you know them so I know when to get really excited after nine months wait!!

In my case I got told the car was in the country 7 days before it arrived at the dealers. They then took another 5 days to do whatever it is they do before I could pick the car up. I think you can justify getting pant-wettingly excited from early next week.

Ive just been to the dealers to complete the paperwork and pay and they said the car should be with them later this afternoon and I should be able to pick it up on Monday lunchtime

Decided on the ceramic paint protection at the last minute along with the 5 year service plan so it’s been an expensive day but after 9 months wait, the next four nights will feel like Christmas Eve and I’m sure I won’t be able to sleep!!

Mine arrived UK port on Friday evening last week, dealer by the Monday and hopefully with me tomorrow.

Waiting for my first Volvo (B3 plus in Onyx Black).
I was told that the car is at the port in uk on Wednesday last week (15th Feb 2023), still no updates.
Any idea on how long is it taking for it to reach dealership.

Mine took a couple of weeks to arrive to the dealership.
Don’t forget they need to do a PDI as well
