Hard Choices, T5 or T4 with “extras” ?

I would have gone for the T4. However, when I priced up the spec I wanted (back in February) it came to much more than a T5 FE, so I went for the FE. OK, the FE has a lot of extras I don't particularly want, I just won't use them 8-)
Ordered 24th February 2018: XC40, FE, T5, Crystal White, Lava Interior (additional black carpets), 19" wheels, mud flaps, Tow Bar, Polestar, was expected June/July, then 1st October.
Finally took delivery on 16th October 2018. 8-)

In real life when would the extra performance be used? I went for the T4 as it is more than adequate for the type of trips it will be used for.
