Can anyone tell me, can a I-Pod classic be connected to infotainment system on Xc40, if so how? 😎

I have my iPod touch connected. I have two options when I connect through the USB port - CarPlay or play as iPod. If I select play as iPod I can use the cars controls to select album, track, pause, volume etc.
I suspect it depends upon what software release is on your classic.

Yes definitely can be connect/use. I am running an ipod classic. It's very simple and is all set out in the manual.

USB cable (as mines a classic it's a 30 pin) from ipod to USB socket. Then select the ipod icon in Sensus OR use voice commands to select "ipod". Controls then similar to accessing music on USB or similar.

Apple CarPlay works only with iPhone. You can’t use Apple CarPlay with iPod or iPad. In addition, AAOS equipped cars as yours can’t read music files through USB without Audio Wagon app.
