Wow, I didn't know the "Plus" had one.

First featurette found today, you can no longer enable Pilot Assist / Adaptive Cruise Control whilst braking. Took me a while to work out what was going on, I have never seen the unavailable message before.

When entering a 30mph limit I normally brake and then at the exact moment I hit 31mph I hit the enable Pilot Assist button and then take my foot off the brake, this no longer works. As soon as you get to the correct speed you have to take your foot off the brake and then press the enable button!

Thank you Volvo another enhancement I'd rather not have.

I would have thought that normal, braking cancels speed control and so you cannot enable while holding cancel. I'm guessing before you've lifted and pressed, rather than pressed before lifting.

I know the issues that are happening should not be happening, but are people not getting a bit too hung up on what are in the majority minor issues, that will eventually get sorted. As long as you can still drive your car from A to B, all important basic functions work as they should, then chill. Obviously if issues are affecting the day to day use of vehicle, then give Volvo hell.

It's just so frustrating when something changes and there is no mention of it in the release notes. It took me several attempts to finally work out why I couldn't enable Pilot Assist as I have always done previously and in every other car I've driven. When you buy a £40k motor car you expect quality and due care from the manufacturer and overall consistency, something Volvo is sadly lacking. It's sad but after 18 months of ownership I've already started to look at candidate replacements...

Frankly I'm surprised Cruise Control works at all in a built up area.

I get your frustrations Gedger. JFDIT, your right about cruise control, is it not really for use on Motorways, dual carriageways and the likes? Maybe I’m using it incorrectly.

It works perfectly at 30mph and is one of my main uses as it allows me to concentrate on driving rather that keeping a watch on the speedo as it so easy to creep up to 35-38 and a ticket....I also use it in the many 20mph areas which are even harder to keep within the limits.

Edit: Volvo expects it to be used at lower speeds.
