OOPS! Something went wrong

As of 72 hours ago whenever the voice assistant is asked for information or to play songs (Spotify) it responds with "OOPS. Something went wrong".
It works all the internal systems of the car perfectly well.
More frustration!!!

Reboot Screen and Modem. Always worth trying first.

Spotify is experiencing issues in Sensus vehicles if that applies to you. Parties are working on a fix.

When I search for songs/albums manually there is no problem which would suggest that the modem is doing it's job (I think?)
The search only fails when using the voice assistant.

Yes JFDIT. Thank you.
Did a double reboot twice. No change. Investigated further.
Discovered that Voice Assistant operates all internal aspects of the car - temperature, vent direction etc. but anything out with replies with "OOPS something went wrong"
It will not access Navigation, SPOTIFY or any general enquiry.
Can someone help?

Having played around for a (long) while I'm beginning to suspect that the version of Google Assistant in my car has not been updated (January 2024).
When I OPEN google assistant from the app store everything works perfectly.
When I switch off the car and use the in-car google assistant nothing works and it reverts to "OPPS SOMETHING WENT WRONG"
Feel I'm getting somewhere - very slowly!
