New Purchase - Car Play

Hi all

Just picked up a 2019 XC40 D3.

I noticed that it does not have car play, on reading further, I saw a couple of old posts stating that you need 2 x USB ports (one with a white circle) for carplay.

Does updating the system to 2.2 enable car play via a single USB on older models? Or is this only for new models?

Apologies if been asked already, just i can't seem to find a clear answer.

Your MY2019 has Sensus system, the only way to install Apple CarPlay is to retrofit: https://volvocarsaccessories.co.uk/Acce ... sory/15098

Thank you for replying, once installed. Cant the carplay be view full screen ? or is its 50/50

On the new Android Automotive system Apple CarPlay is on full screen centre display in portrait mode. On your older Sensus system Apple CarPlay is on the bottom half of the centre display in landscape mode, as shown on Volvo’s website:
