Rear Position Light Malfunction

Hi I recently been getting a warning light on dash say Rear Positional Light Malfunction. Has anybody come across this. Car is due to go into ne looked at I a week. Just trying to get ahead on NY costs this might incur. Its XC40 2018 D4 Momentum.

Could be anything from a blown bulb (easy to check yourself visually), faulty contacts in the light unit itself or even a partial break in the loom if the offending light unit is on the tailgate itself.

Hopefully just the first reason

Spdead, as creator of this thread could you please correct the misspelling of light in the title.
B4 AWD Inscription , Fusion Red, Blond interior. Drivers Assist, Climate, Tinted rear windows and Towing pack.
