I had a huge amount of effort to get Volvo to send me through the detailed contract I was due to write off by signing the new deal. Eventually they sent it through and I had a very good conversation with an informed customer service person.
The clinch for me was what happens if the 3rd party that now owns the car goes into receivership. He had to refer this up and in the end could only offer an opinion that someone would then buy the asset off the new owner.
I looked into the company who set themselves up and they seemed to be a new company set up to do this business and felt that this was being done to make a profit.
With 2 years to run on my CBV contract, I want the comfort that I signed up to which is a service run by Volvo owned by Volvo.
I refused to sign and asked them not to contact me with any further correspondence.
