XC60 -> XC40

Hello,

I have a MY2019 XC60 Momentum, with a lot of extras (Panoramic sunfoof, 2 zone climate, 360 degree camera, ACC, BLIS, etc.)
It's a lease car and is being returned next month after 5 lovely years.

I am now looking for a XC40 (we like the SUV ride position, but don't need such a big car)
Problem is I live in SW France, and the French Selekt site is rubbish for filtering options - and is not accurate - filtering out vehicles that do (on inspection) meet the requirements.
Heycar.fr seems better - but the "detailed specification" goes from good to spurious (i.e. Door bins)

It's been a while since I went throught this process - so any answers you can steer me through would be helpful.

1. How is the MY2022 XC40 suspension compared to a MY2019 XC60? Is it best to avoid a PHEV for weight/suspension issues?
2. Is the 360 camera available on the XC40, as none seem to be available - rear cameras only.
3. Am I right that I need a My2022+ for the Android based Infotainment system, as opposed to the Volvo Sensus?
4. Any tips re buying (bargaining) in France?!

1. After XC60 you might find XC40 MY2022 suspension slightly stiffer. PHEV is well balanced on the suspension, no issues there.
2. 360 camera was available as optional equipment or included in higher trims. It’s no longer offered for MY2024.
3. Android Automotive (AAOS) appeared in MY2022 combustion engine XC40, but there’s no clear cut date from Sensus.

Yes. PHEV and ICE got AAOS around the same time. BEV had AAOS from launch.

Ha!
I love my XC60 360 cameras - but a new new car is too rich for me (old house still to do up!)
So a MY2022/3 vehicle (with the AAOS as opposed to Sensus) is my target.
Also want ACC, BLIS, Leather heated, Power & Automated tailgate, Volvo App/Restart, Stop/Start etc etc. - so not exactly a cheap buy!

To get your desired spec you will need a UK Ultimate equivalent. The PHEVs have never had the AAOS as far as I am aware. Just be aware that many of the 22/23 models did not have BLIS due to the "chip shortage". You will need to check the actual spec very carefully. You could find an earlier R-Design Pro or Inscription Pro that would meet your spec apart from the AAOS. French spec may of course be different.
