Well. My time in the XC40 world has come to an end.

Lease is up on my T5 Recharge, will be returning it today and picking up my new XC60 T6 Recharge instead.

Couple of reasons for stepping up a size so to speak.

Firstly being stuck with FWD for 3 years in some of the snowiest winters we have had in the last 10 is not the best thing for winter driving in Finland.

Secondly as my son grows older and bigger so do his bikes so more space needed there. And also we now have a rescue dog who to put it mildly is quite a lot bigger than our previous princess.

All in all it was a no brainer. Lease costs are pretty much the same (within 100€) and the long range battery will allow me to do most of my driving in Pure so savings in fuel balance out the extra cost.

It’s going be a learning curve moving from Sensus to AAOS but I’m sure I will be fine. I spend my days in tech anyway.

So in a way I’m saying “so long and thanks for all the fish” but I will stay around to read, comment and generally just stay involved.

We moved from an XC40 to an XC60 - no regrets at all, feels in a different league.

After the first few hours I can say I agree. Definitely a step up in quality and feel.

So far can’t really say anything bad about AAOS as I knew what I was getting into.

Have a 1000km weekend coming up so that will be the real test.

I much prefer AAOS to Sensus, feels far more modern
