I've definitely never seen that. The only notification I get is that launching Android Auto disables Bluetooth for other phones in the car.

Must be either something to do with Apple or that (I think) it’s loosely based around an android system, hence allows you to do both ??

Re: the issue with Apple CarPlay continuously crashing, I was able to solve this issue by purchasing and using the short Apple official USB cable (I believe it is the .5 m length one). Not sure how/why this solved the problem, but I heard about this solution over a year ago on another Volvo forum. Decided to try that solution because the Apple CarPlay on my XC40 was crashing daily when playing music and answering the phone. With this solution, my Apple CarPlay now crashes once every 2-3 months, which is fine compared to how it was before.

Poor cable quality is often causing CarPlay to crash. Besides Apple’s original white £19.00 cable any other Apple MFi Certified Lightning Cable will do the job, this angled black cable works perfectly in my car: https://www.amazon.co.uk/aceyoon-Light ... 167&sr=8-3
