Hello can anyone recommend a good bike rack hanging off the back for two bikes but without needing a tow bar attachment please ?

No personal experience, however i was looking recently, and came across saris bones EX. I liked that it was sturdy, and the EX has a offset to go over most SUV spoilers.

A second for the Saris range. Good stuff, but doesn't fold down to be the smallest. Also worth looking at the range from B'Twin through Decathlon. Solid, fairly inexpensive, easy to install.

If you're going rear mounted you'll probably end up covering your plate and lights, so will need a lighting board. They don't cost much (around £15 - 25), but if you're blocking your lights it'll need to be connected to the cars wiring to replace your brake and indicators. A decent bike shop should be able to help with selecting a good rack.

I love KAC Overdrive Sports K4 because it is easy to use and easy to carry.

I don't mean that you should use this one, you can use whatever you want.

For more information, you can do your own research and I also recommend you to read articles to find the best piece. https://www.rackadvisor.org/best-4-bike-hitch-rack/ However, I would like to share a guide you might find it helpful when choosing a bike rack.

Hi,
Has anyone tried using any rear bike racks? All the manufacture's guides say they are not compatible with SUVs, but I've not got a tow bar and I don't fancy putting Mrs Locky's e-bike on the roof

While searching for a bike rack solution I found only one seemingly reliable manufacturer that offers a trunk bike rack system for the XC40: https://paulchensystem.net/Bike-Carrier ... :3668.html

However, since all other guides are saying trunk racks are not compatible with the XC40 I ended up buying a roof rack for my 15 pounds race bike. It’s a problem lifting and fixing a 50 pounds e-bike on the roof, therefore the comfortable and safe solution would be to retrofit a tow bar on your car and use a tow bar bike rack for Mrs Locky's e-bike.
