Sort of. I went to collect ours on 14th January. Unfortunately it had the wrong seat trim fitted. Its still at the dealer whilst Volvo work out what to do
Oops, silly me, I did read your post about the “wrong seats”! How bizarre. I couldn’t make my mind up as to whether they’d clicked the wrong box when ordering your car, or if they’re trying to palm you off with an all together different order.

They won't admit it but I am pretty sure it was CbV who sent the wrong spec to the factory

Given my experience with CbV, which was hellish to deal with during the ordering process, and which refuses to admit mistakes even when presented with clear evidence, this would not surprise me at all.

Hi all, I currently have a Q4 on order which has been delayed so many times that I’m looking to cancel.

Does anyone have any experience of current lead times? Looking at a XC40 Twin Ultimate (facelift p8/pro).

Lease co (Lex) have told me 22-24 weeks whilst Volvo website says 8-9months

Thanks

Our Pro arrived at the dealer in late December roughly 4 months after ordering. At the time quoted delivery time was 5-6 months so they could be arriving a little earlier than planned. Unfortunately its still at the dealer as the seat issue is still unresolved.

I ordered three weeks ago (B4 Plus) and the dealer said to expect it in "mid July, though it might be ready in June". So basically a lead time of 6 months or maybe a bit less. To be honest I'm not ultra confident that I'll actually get it in July (let alone June), but we'll see.
Apparently the factory in Belgium will not start making the MY23 cars until the 11th week of this year (mid-March) because there are some changes from MY22 and they need to make some alterations to the production lines. Which means that the orders are just stacking up until they start this year's production. (That's what the dealer said, anyway.)
So as Cevoli21 wrote above, the real lead times might be a bit shorter than the advised ones - the 8-9 months quoted on the Volvo website could be just "padding".
Having said that, I am ordering from the Czech Republic, so if you're in the UK or Ireland your situation might be different - I don't know if right-hand drive models are going to be delayed for longer.

Thanks I appreciate the replies

I can live with say 6 months - ordered my Q4 on 31/8 and it’s slipped from Jan, March, July and now august but with no confirmed build slot so I have lost all faith.

The XC40 - whilst it has a lower range and is slightly smaller, it’s faster, slightly better spec, and Volvo appear to be better than VAG at actually delivering orders

I think you're right about VAG - a neighbour ordered a VW Tiguan in mid-December 2021 and has been quoted delivery no earlier than in December of this year (gulp).
Hang in there, it'll be worth it in the end.

If Ghent are beginning MY23 production mid March, I am hopeful of my MY22 being ready early March. However, I am sure I have read on this forum about members being given June estimates for their MY22 cars. I guess I will find out soon.
