"Total Upgrade"

I just took my XC40 in for service a year after purchase at 8K miles. The paperwork says 'XC40 Total Upgrade...per service action S29942. 97638.7'

I assume that this refers to a software upgrade? Is it possible to get release notes for the upgrade which includes the bug fixes and/or feature upgrades included?

I have a problem where the car doesn't recognize my key vs my wife's key, wondering if this will fix it.
