I was quoted about 30% more than I was paying on my Focus 2.0tdci titanium x. But I only had for years no claims on it.... spoke to Volvo insurance and they will match/mirror my full no claims from the S2000 ... so although a bit dearer... I'll gain long term and got better cover in year one.

Just wondered if anyone has managed to get an online quote yet for anything other than an FE or Inscription? My D3 R Design is being built last week in June and all I can find on the various online quotes are the above models....
D3 R Design. Silver. 19s. Tow-bar. Ordered 1st March. Delivered: July 10
I got a £240 fully comp quote down in Devon with GA for my D4 FE, £240 excess with 9+ no claims. that includes a like for like car in first 12 months if written off. I'm 53, retired.
FE D4 AWD Auto Crystal White. Interior Black Leather Buck Suede. Extras: Dog Guard, Boot Mat. Picked up 2nd June.
I don't own one yet but have been doing qoutes the cheapest I got was from Aviva insurance at £216 a month and that's with 0 NCB as I'm a new driver but I'm not a young new driver , I'm in my early 30's , it was based on the momentum T4 automatic AWD at under 20,000 miles a year.
All I can say reading these responses is WOW, I wish my insurance was anywhere close to under £250!
Despite being mid-30s, having driven for nigh on 20 years with a clean record, maximum NCB (protected) and doing less than 12,000 miles a year, my last renewal came in at £450 with £150 total excess, I am based in the North though so that might have something to do with it. Perhaps if I lived in the sticks somewhere I might get close but I still can't believe you got a quote so cheap as a new driver Physiogirl, especially on a car that costs so much! I remember my first insurance quote on a not so new Vauxhall Corsa was in the high £100s with a ridiculous excess even then as a 17-year old and the insurance cost more than the car!

Ah, that does make a difference somewhat. Must learn to read through thoroughly before commenting sometimes, thought it sounded too good to be true!
My renewal was per annum, however so that makes me feel better

Confirm LV for me and in the 220-250 bracket. The test of insurance however is the claims experience. When I had my windscreen chip a week ago, the glass repair number was answered by someone saying ' LV Autoglass', or something similar. Anyway, call made around 11am, chip repaired around 2.30pm. Delighted with the service, and the efficiency of LV when I changed my vehicle.Boomer wrote: ↑Mon Apr 09, 2018 5:18 pm This will be a "how long is a piece of string" thread but looking like the £220 to 250 level (depending on the "extras") LV and esure looking like initial strong candidates on first high level run. I'm months away from looking properly as have just transferred over existing insurance from old car.
