What car are you changing from?

Hi all
For the last 7 years Mrs Jim and I have been running Land Rovers and Range Rovers.
After experiencing a couple of blips in Land Rover customer care she was adamant that she wanted to change and so we looked at the VW Tiguan R Line, the Merc GLC, Audi Q3 and the XC40.
She liked the look of the XC40 and we have ordered ours subject to liking it in the flesh and liking the way it drives, so I think that with the deal we secured on the trade in (£1600 more than the supplying LR dealership!) on her Evoke plus the discount we managed to haggle that it is a win win situation.
She will be going from a 2014 Evoke Dynamic, Firenze Red with Santorini Black roof and a charcole Black interior.
So, what other cars did folk on here consider before going for the XC40 and why?
