New Update for XC 40

6-weeks with my T5 Inscrption and earlier this week starting getting "Service or Repair needed" on the top of Sensus. I touched it and it took me to the Message box which was empty...6-hrs later it said parking brake service"!
Never use the parking brake but I tested it twice and it went on and off and the message disappeared. 2 days later the Service and repair came back but never got a message.
Brought it back to dealer and codes showed the fault for the parking brake service, apparently the 3rd XC 40 at my dealer. Volvo has the updated fix, and hopefully its fixed.
The reason the dealer insisted I come in is there is a very slight chance the parking brake comes on and freezes up, and then you need to be towed to a Volvo dealer.
Supposedly a letter to all newer 2nd generation XC 40's may ultimately be sent.
Just thought it was better to be safe than stuck!!!
