Update on my 2019 T4 Auto: little used for obvious reasons, and am on lockdown (Bradford) again at the moment.
A consistent 27.8mpg on Morrisons regular in a six month period when a 8 galllon fill up each month suffices In days of old, when working, I filled up TWICE A DAY! Now no motorway jaunts or runs over 20 miles means stop start is intermittent for reasons I understand.
So new buyers only look for this figure as conditions continue for now! List figures are fiction!

Had my D3R for almost 2 years, but only 12K miles. Just had 56.2 mpg according to trip meter from Ipswich to Shrewsbury, and the same for the return journey. Since new, the computer says 51.0 mpg overall. Pleased with that.

I have a 1 month old XC40 B4. I have only done 575 miles and filled it with fuel 3 times. I am only getting 19.4 mpg.
The car seems to be pulling back. I stop accelerating and within a few feet the car grinds to a halt. Clearly something not right here. I have booked into Volvo, if this is not fixed I will be forced to back the car.

Mine T3 gives currently shows 39.6 mpg over the last 1500 miles. This went down from 43 mpg, as I mainly drive to the shop now, which is just few miles away.

That can't be right, my B4 is achieving around 38mpg, a few short journeys to take the dog to a field to run round, and then 2 plus hour journeys, well before Tier 4 restrictions.

On a run recently, got this out of my T5 which I was pleased with. However, the mileage figure just below the speedo shows 26.2. I do a lot of town driving

I did the calculation the old fashioned way after a fill up. Mixed bag of driving with two 60 mile plus motorway drives and the rest little journeys to take the dog for a walk. It worked out at 36.1 mpg. More than happy with that. Doubt I'll have to fill up again this side of 2021. Inscription Pro B4 Auto on 19'' rims.

Just did two 100 miles drives a few days ago (business meeting) with my D4 AWD, driving from the seaside, across the mountains and to the valley (and back) with the avg. speed of 75-80 mph. It worked out at 34 mpg in the morning and 33.6 in the evening. It's not just that Volvo On Call told me these values, but I refilled the same amount of diesel fuel at the gas station near my home.
I'm not that satisfied with 34 mpg for a D4 engine, but I blame the Pirelli Scorpion Winter tires on that. Hope I'll get better results with Continental summer tires soon.
