Try using an independent app called "Fuelly" a very good and accurate fuel consumption monitor, I have been using it for the past couple of years with my Audi.
Doesn’t yet recognise the existence of an XC40.

Doesn’t recognise the existence of a 2018 XC40, and then only a T5 for 2019. Seems to be aimed only at the US market. Also Tyre = Tire for example.

You can still use the app, just insert your milage etc on the fill up section and see what readings you get over a couple of fill ups.
I use the app for my Outland PHEV as well - anything from 32MPG to 323MPG! Just be careful when setting up to use UK measurements - they are there as options. The Outlander’s computer isn’t very accurate, and I will definitely be using this with my XC40 when it arrives.
