Hi Erez, I measured mine before purchase and did not think I would be able to without slipping the front wheel off. Also the boot floor to roof distance is quite small making it difficult to put the dismantled bike in the boot. For that reason I went with the factory fit tow bar.

Its too late for the factory fit tow-bar. I'll see what to do when I get the car

Electric operated tow-bar is also available as accessory.. I will let it install when my XC40 finally arrives at the dealer.

Hi-I've for an XC40 FE and can confirm you can easily fit a road bike in with seats down (plus you get the fun of just pressing a button to do so!). Mines a size 58 BMC and no issues. TBH you can fit a road bike in pretty much any hatchback style car- mine also fits sin my wife's Seat Leon.

I know it is nice to get the bike in whole, but seriously how difficult is it just to take a front wheel off/back on? 30 secs either end?

After a 5 hour winter training ride, possibly in freezing rain and your fingers are totally numb it really can be a pain in the a***.

tell me about it. I put it down to one of those "getting circulation back into the fingers" exercises. :D
