I keep seeing mention of the Polestar upgrade in this forum priced at £695 but I can't find this offer anywhere on the Volvo website.
The only place I see it is in the configurator at £835. Is this some sort of special offer and if so where can I find it?

I have read somewhere that in order to access the benefit of Polestar you have to either be in dynamic mode or switch off stability control. Firstly, is this the case? Secondly, if this is the case, would I see any benefit in Eco mode or Comfort mode?
As I rarely use Dynamic mode, I am concerned as to whether I would see any benefit. Perhaps somebody who has their “Polestarred” car can help me with this.
Here’s hoping. I like the sound of the package otherwise.

You probably read it here........ https://www.topgear.com/car-news/suvs/p ... ore-drifty
Polestar makes a difference in all modes as far as I know.
Maybe they mean the extra power to the rear wheels only takes effect when stability control is off or in dynamic mode.

Thank you for sorting that out for me!

Are you satisfied with the upgrade? I wonder did you have the car without initially and then added it? If so, is the difference noticeable? In your opinion, is it worth getting?

As reported in a couple of posts earlier in this thread, I have found the benefit in all Drive modes, but do see a more significant effect all round in Dynamic mode.

I also did report on the perceived difference between pre Polestar and post Polestar in my post on page 3 of this thread - July 14th, 3:55pm.

Haven't tried switching off stability control yet, but if I read the Top Gear article correctly, that only relates to rear wheel power if in non Dynamic mode. I will give it a try sometime soon.

Article here.https://www.motor1.com/news/262402/pole ... orque/amp/
with this line "Enabling the new feature on cars fitted with the upgrade is quite simple as the driver can either select the Dynamic drive mode or disable the Electronic Stability Control."

The way the above Motor1 article talks about it brings a bit of confusion for me.

"Polestar will offer the software optimization on AWD-equipped XC40, 60 Series, and 90 Series Volvos with gasoline and diesel engines later this month. The torque boost for the rear axle is the latest example in a string of other Polestar upgrades tailored to Volvos to improve throttle response, add power, and enable quicker gear changes."

Why does it say the upgrade will be available later this month? Is there a further Polestar upgrade to come, or have they just not realised it's already available?
