Trivial help please......

I think something is missing from my cup holders...the plastic/ rubber vane things.
Mentioned it to the broker/ dealer and they say it's a europe thing and only available on l/h drive versions, personally I think i'm being lied to.
I enclose a picture and would really appreciate it if someone could possibly post a picture of theirs please.
I know it's something or nothing but if it should be there.....

Also.....does the diagnostic port come with a cover?
as it looks like one should be there.

Lied to by a dealer? I really think they believe the utter nonsense that falls off their lips. Yes you should have the rubber vanes. I haven't checked but I think there is a cover over the diagnostics port.
LHD only? I'd really take them to task over that blatant nonsense.
You will receive a quality questionnaire from Volvo soon too if you haven't already, mine came this week, my car is two months old.

Whenever I feel someone is just bullsh*ting me like that I always ask for it in writing (or an email). That usually sorts the truth from the nonsense as it makes them put their word onto something formal.

I can’t believe some of the stories you get spun as they try and duck a difficult question. Some people really don’t understand what they are selling and usually the buyer (through forums like this) are way ahead in terms of product knowledge.

Update on the cupholder rubber vanes.....Volvo are coming to take my car to have the vanes sorted and leaving another car in the meantime.
To be honest I was expecting to have to fight for this as it's pretty trivial really, but quite pleased they came back to me quickly with a resolution.
So thumbs up to Volvo for that.

Good news.

Has got me thinking whether Volvo keep a track of post delivery "snagging" items? I am sure I read some time ago that snags might apply to 30% of vehicles (not specifically Volvo) and the manufacturers just accept that they aren't going to nail every car 100%, and/or that the costs in sorting them out whilst on the line is just too much and so they let them run through and leave it to customers and dealers to sort out. If so you got to hope you are in the 70%, or in this case it is something minor (if a little annoying).
