It’s the square thingys in the pic which open up so the squirty thingys hiding inside can squirt

The little hatches underneath the headlights where the washers pop out like a Cuckoo clock :)

I’ve got these on my Volvo. Never noticed any improvement to light intensity after deployment. They just spray water in the general direction of the lights.

The only benefit I can see is to deter someone driving too close to your rear. A good blast on the washers sends a tsunami back in their general direction and they usually back off!

Downside is that they deploy whether you need your headlights watered or not and you go through washer fluid quicker than rugby team drinking beer at a free bar 😁. It also ruins those hard hours of lovingly washing and polishing by flowing the fluid down the front wings.

So you won’t miss them if you don’t have them...😁

I would prefer not to have them, too.

Current vehicle has them on a separate button - pressed it once when it was new out of interest, haven't pressed it since.

If I lived in a snow-bound country, I'd want them. Otherwise, their only purpose is to satisfy EU lighting regs.
Cancelled after waiting 3 months to be told delivery will take 11 months.

Thanks! Can you control them or is it all automatic? Or do they just come on with the windscreen wipers?

I emailed my dealer last week with regarding my concerns that my car will come with no headlight washers and 19" wheels. (after reading various posts on here). He replied with a screenshot of the order with 20" wheels and cleaning system and said he knows no reason basically why it shouldn't come with it??! I did order it in January, if that makes any difference. He still said delivery is due on the 15th June. I don't really know what to make of it all, guess I will have to wait and see what it turns up with and argue then.

Will let you know...in the meantime, this was the email I got back in February which may help you:

Thanks for uploading this - I'm going to raise it when I go to collect/pay for mine on Friday as I was told I'd be on 19s and no washer jets, but they didn't say anything at all about a discount by volvo. Again, wish I had a decent dealer as they have been useless . . . they seemed puzzled when I went back in to request they provide me updated paperwork with the correct spec and colour on it!!

I do not get the big fuss over the headlight washers. I have them on my car and 1 they don’t clear the headlight that well and 2 they use a hell of a lot more fluid.
Also less things to go wrong, i,ve had previous head lamp washer covers fly off/ blown off and washed off before 😂
Your safer without them people! 💦
