I'm hoping the XC40 will get this in an update

Good news and great video. They even used my car for the demo - well it’s LHD twin!

It's for the 'next generation' system which will be based on Android; the current system isn't. Not scheduled for a couple of years or so.

It's overrated if you ask me.

I tried "Hey Google, do you have a production slot for my new Volvo xc40? "

And all I got was "shall I help you connect your VR headset..."

Nice.

Last Android-based system I tried was pretty awful. The current system is based on QNX, if I remember correctly, and I think it works pretty well myself. I'm not a fan of Google, either, so I'm in no rush to see this in any car I own.
