Porsche have done this in the past when they’ve had supply issues. I wouldn’t knock it; it keeps used values high.

Not through Porsche dealers anymore - they will be stripped of franchise if seen selling a desirable car for above list as an ex demo....

So should Volvo. Looks like you are taking advantage of customers which sends a very bad signal in my book...

They still do it. Was looking at the Macan until i realised it was cheaper to order new and wait.

They still do it. Was looking at the Macan until i realised it was cheaper to order new and wait.

I did order a Macan and all the ones I found were almost exactly list - by the time you had added extras and RFL etc that were not in the quoted new price - as demos.

In the end cancelled order for Macan GTS and bought an Audi SQ5 instead - better tech inside, better back seat and boot, cheaper and more discrete...

......whereas you have this showing on AutoTrader; obviously a demo still in use as it states available in June with circa 5k miles:

So even with that mileage, it represents a good saving of around £5-6k on the current price list with all the options that came with the FE models, and a £7k saving over the (greedy) one on eBay.

It will be interesting to see if any more become available for sale over the next month or two from speculators, but then again, who would have known that a new small SUV from Volvo would be such a hit and therefore such speculators may be thin on the ground ?!?!?!?

There are currently 9 second hand FEs for sale online with AutoTrader UK. Presumably all dealer demonstrators. Some 67 some 18 plate. 8 are D4s. Mileage range from 1,000 up to 10,000+. Prices are £40,000 up to £42,995. Red, white or blue!

I have for sale my XC40 FE D4 Crystal White/Black with only 2K miles, selling due to personal circumstances and offered at below List Price.
It was my local dealers “Showroom Car” not the Demonstrator and had only 275 miles when purchased in May, it has everything including 20” Alloys, Headlamp Washers, & Swedish Flag. This car was purchased outright and has no HP or Finance outstanding.
