I’ve just purchased a new set of keys and had them programmed this morning, £120 inc vat and programming.
They are the new motion sensing ones and replace my original ones, 2xBlack and 1x Sports tag.

I took my original keys back as requested but they were handed back to me so that I could reuse the shells ,which have the black perforated covers, and the batteries. Glad they gave them back as they still had the original mechanical keys inside them, they hadn’t been transferred to the new keys!

Dealer updated the car software and did an inside & out valet. Took 2 hrs but worth it IMHO for the extra peace of mind regarding relay attacks.

Marshall’s Volvo, Nottingham.
I got the Volvo part number from the accessories catalogue on the Volvo web site.
I believe it’s intended as an upgrade pack for early XC40s that didn’t get the motion sensing keys.
Part code is 31652473 and the description is “Keyless Key Package without Red key”
Your local dealer should be able to order it for you.
