Finally my car arrived today - MY22 T3 Inscription Auto.

No insulation...

XC40 Inscription Auto, MY22, T3, Denim Blue. 360 Camera, Dark Tints, Seat Pack, Smartphone Pack. Was due September 2021, now October, and now end of November, finally January! 6 1/2 months :roll: . New to Volvos :D

There is one on eBay for £134.99
XC40 Bright Silver T3 Momentum pro with just about every option plus mud flaps and sunglasses holder.

Regarding secondhand cars, there is a whole load of information available today - what to watch out for, faults, recalls etc - and have no doubt that "missing under bonnet insulation on some XC40" maybe listed in the future - and could reduce the sellers value inline with obtaining one for the next owner - this insulation should have been fitted at the factory and those who don't have them fitted, and especially those who own their car, should insist its fitted - after all you have paid for one.

Has anyone asked Volvo Customer Support or their Dealership for an answer? Clearly something Forum members can only speculate on.

I've asked my dealer and they told me 'not specified' Been onto Volvo UK and they just backed up the dealer.
I've been back onto Volvo UK again asking them to explain why its a random fitment, no explanation on my first request. I'm awaiting a response.

What, they randomly fit items on the line which aren't a standard fit for the car they're working on?

A word describing an old fashioned show repair shop comes to mind.
