Hi,
You can now spec a T4 recharge , inscription expression , metallic paint ,park assist, spare wheel £39150
Against a B4 r design, awd, metallic paint, park assist , spare wheel £39180

Seems to me that Volvo are trying to get people into hybrid/ electric asap

I guess Volvo is only committed to full electric, and after their stock market flotation last week, they now have billions to invest to bring that vision sooner rather than later, so I guess anything with a combustion engine in it will have a hard time going forward.

Wow - excluding pure electric, 26 engine/trim options is slashed to just 9!

More like with the shortage of parts they are concentrating on the bestselling models?

I think this is happening because of a pending Facelift in 2022... Based on the fact that the XC40 and XC90 are the only models which have not been upgraded to the new Android Automotive system (and we know the XC90 is being replaced next year) that leaves the XC40 as the oldest model which has not been refreshed (XC60/V90/S90 have been facelifted, and V60/S60 are newer than the XC40). I would imagine they're trimming down derivatives to make the transition easier.

I thought that at first but they've made this change to every model. For example with the V60, Momentum is only available as a B3 petrol engine, and Inscription is only available as a plug-in hybrid.

I've got a B5P AWD R Design Pro on order since 21 October. Volvo say that the B5P AWD is no longer available on 2022 models but may or may not be back in April when the 2023 models are announced. As the thread states, a number of models are no longer available to build on the Volvo website. Has anyone any information on whether existing orders will be honoured? All I've heard is that they should be!

Could you please tell us what’s your source for the April new model launch? Some of us suspected an upcoming facelift as the reason for fewer options on the current price list…
