Just went to Volvo xc40 build page and they have updated model range, you can’t get Inscription model anymore in mild hybrid b4,it appears you have to choose between Momentum or R-design?

Hi
Seems crazy the changes they are making
Momentum now T3 auto only
R design standard T3 auto , b4 in awd only
R design pro no T3 b4 fwd only
No manual gbox except momentum T2 core

No inscription anywhere.
Perhaps the website is still being worked in as we write.

A new version 6 of the pricelist has appeared sometime today (replacing version 5b) and the model choice seems to have been trimmed rather a lot!

Wow. You have to wonder what they are up to. It might mean the residuals of existing cars will keep high, especially the B4s

Hi
Funny you should say that trickster, I am picking up my B4 fwd tomorrow and they have put the residual or balloon payment up by nearly a £1000 thus reducing my monthly payment .

I wonder if this affects existing orders. I have an R-Design T3 manual ordered and it is delayed until the end of January. If they are dropping the manual gearbox, I hope they honour current orders. Always have manuals and have no intention of switching to an auto until forced to with a fully electric car.

I suspect these changes are related to the upcoming facelift, XC40 was unveiled in September 2017 and 5 years later is due for a refresh.

No, these are the prices and models that if you walk in to a dealer today reflect the choice you have to pick from. Nothing to do with a facelift version that may or not appear next year.

I ordered, on 14/10/21, an XC40 that is no longer on the price list. What's next?

It is an RDesign FWD B4
XC40 R-design B4 FWD 7 speed. Ordered 14/10/21 Delivered 13/1/22
Pilot Assist, 360 deg cam, Panoramic roof etc.

Hi
Hotfrog, I have just collected this morning a B4 r design fwd, i think that you will get your order honoured because it was available on the day you ordered. It seems crazy to me that the b4 redesign is Awd only now and the b4 R design pro, a more expensive car, is FWD only , also can’t see B5 mentioned anywhere.
Just for info,Was informed by customer services that my car would have the 7 speed box, dealer said it would have the 8 speed box, it is in fact the 8 speed box.
