Poll: Lead times ( from order till delivery)

Ordered a standard R-design Pro on 11th December (lease, factory order).

Looks like its landed in the country as been given a 21 registration (won't be fully registered until day of delivery)

Awaiting delivery date once it reaches the dealership, hopefully only a few more weeks.

Rybrooks Chester took nearly a year to produce the car and then cancelled the order.
However, Rybrooks Preston had an identical car ready in 2 months!!

I can only say its down to staff, the Chester mob leave A LOT to be desired.

Ordered late dec 2020, picked up today, so about 2.5 months.. not bad considering current situation.

Ordered 4/12/20 and picked up 1/3/21. Could have had it a week earlier but decided to hang on for the 21 plate.

I ordered my R Design Pro PHEV on 30th November 2019 with a (pre-pandemic) delivery estimate of April 2020. In the event I collected the car on 23rd June 2020 once the dealers had reopened. My car has twin exhausts with chrome trim which I think Volvo had changed on production cars by that time which suggests to me the car was built early 2020 and even possibly delivered around lockdown in the UK but of course I wasn't able to collect the car until June.

Is everyone ordering "factory orders"? I have dealt with two dealers for my prospective purchase, and both had stock vehicles I finished up going with the second dealer, where the salesman was VERY astute, and assessed my NEEDS as opposed to my WANTS, gave me a deal I liked, so I ordered last Friday. Pick the car up next Tuesday or Wednesday...

Yes mine is a factory order, mostly cos i wanted so many addons. Salesman told me all cars were built to order, but i guess the dealerships must do some speculative ordering.

Took about a month or so to arrive, but I'd buy a VW next time.

Ordered 24th Feb have been given a 2 week window of 4th-18th May.
