Just curious but has anyone found a good use for this storage area?

Volvo designed that space for small items like phone’s earbuds. I keep my AirPods there.

I believe it was designed to give access to something underneath. It's always on the left side regardless of whether the car is the or LHD.

I had noticed that but assumed they just hadn’t bothered with a RHD version.

It's a bit of light hearted fun you miserable so and so. After all no one really knows what this storge holder is for including the dealers.

On a related topic, anyone got any idea what this is- it was in the door pocket but I can't think where it would fit, dealer was no help.
