Change in Spec for BEV

I just noticed that a new price list for the BEV has been published - 2a replacing 2 from a couple of months ago. Anybody know if anything has actually changed? I did not notice anything after a quick perusal. The dealer was complaining that Volvo has come out with a number of porch lots revisions for the ICE version this year.

I suspect it's just price increases or less spec because of the global processor shortage.

Looks like the current version for BEV is Edition 3. 2a can’t have lasted long! Edition 4 for non Recharge.
Two XC40s - so far! Inscription Pro T5 AWD Auto - Glacier Silver/Blond/21”, fully loaded, from Jan thro Sep 2021. Polestarred. :) Also one of the first FEs - a D4 AWD Auto - Bursting Blue/Charcoal/20" from Mar thro Aug 2018. Also Polestarred. :o

Looks like apple CarPlay support (sometime in 2021……………) as gone

Footnote still shows 2021 - same as previous price list.

Version 3 of the price list just out. CarPlay appears to be deleted. Does this mean it won't be in my car due in December?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Apple Carplay was only ever vapourware in the P8. At least Volvo has put an end to the eager anticipation by deleting it from the spec

Very disappointing. I have an iPhone, not android. Need to play music, etc. from my phone. It was clearly listed as a feature coming this year when I ordered. Can’t see how how they can change the spec after I ordered.

Just be patient, Android Automotive will include Apple Car Play at some point through a simple OTA update, you won’t have to take a trip to the dealer and pay for the upgrade. Until then, use your iPhone via Bluetooth connection for calls, listening to music and reading incoming messages.
