All,

Just wondering what people have added to their XC40's after buying them and how it has worked out.

So far I have only purchased a wireless Apple CarPlay adaptor which seems to be working really well, I have a built in wireless system in our other car it compares well with that, the only difference being a slight lag but unless you are forever changing tracks, it will probably not be an issue.

I also fitted the luggage net from our Tiguan which fits fine bit with the clever boot floor of the XC40 , it is not really required.

Mudflaps from E Bay. About £25 I think they were and perfect fit

Brotect Matt Screen Protector. 2 for £6.69 on eBay.
Gets rid of reflections and hides fingerprints.

Genuine Volvo sunglasses holder £15 to £20 on eBay.
Fits in place of drivers grab handle.

Bought but not fitted yet, as the car doesn't arrive until Saturday.

Cheaper direct from dealer. Less than £4 each including VAT. Reasonably easy to self fit.
Two XC40s - so far! Inscription Pro T5 AWD Auto - Glacier Silver/Blond/21”, fully loaded, from Jan thro Sep 2021. Polestarred. :) Also one of the first FEs - a D4 AWD Auto - Bursting Blue/Charcoal/20" from Mar thro Aug 2018. Also Polestarred. :o

If you're referring to the sunglasses holder, that was from a Volvo dealer.

Well - they are selling them on eBay at 4 to 5 times markup on the price you would pay in the dealership parts dept. then!

Pjm007, the Volvo list price is £50. I've not asked my local parts department. But if you got one for £4, it was the deal of the century!

Good deal but not to that extent. The £50 price includes fitting. The c.£4 price is fit it yourself. A previous thread discussed this

Several useful tips in there re. fitting. By the way, it does fit cars with the panoramic sunroof despite the disclaimer.

Mark123 & Bernard Bernardsson originally flagged the DIY deal price, and that was at a time when the £50 fitted price was reduced to £25 on offer.
