Hi All,
I recently had the rubber trim replaced on the drivers door as it had become warped. When I drove the car on some less than perfect surfaces I could hear a rattle that wasn’t there prior to this being done the chrome trim is also loose which it isn’t on the passenger door.

Is it possible that they could have damaged or displaced something internal in the door when replacing the seal?

I’ve got a rattle noise from the rear drivers side door. As said, a less than perfect road surface causes my issue. If I push the upper side of the trim inside (near the little window) it sounds terrible. I’m not sure if it does this when I drive over surfaces and the body flexes. I think the RDP, sports chassis and 20” wheels makes the car very rigid.

The rattle definitely wasn't present before the window trim was replaced, I can't be sure about the chrome trim but its unlikely as I tend to notice such things. This no doubt involved another soul sapping phone call to the dealer or Volvo customer service or even both.

When the trim was replaced I had the car there at 8:00 am and when asked told them I'd like to collect around 14:00 . The job hadn't been done at 15:00 and I was told it would take another 90minutes!! I explained the circumstances and that I would wait, it was done within 45 minutes and I only hope that in their haste its not been damaged.

Hi I have the same problem. Got the car last year in May and only had 2k miles on the clock. Brough to Volvo todah for sevice and they said it’s not a manufacturing fault hence started looling into Volvo forum. Mine does no rattle but the rubber door trim (driver’s side) come loose:( Any advice? Thank you.
