Purchased my first fuel on the 4th July 2020, 44.22 litres at the rate of £102.9 costing £45.50.
Purchased my 26th fuel on 12th July 2021, 45 litres at the rate of £129.9 costing £58.46.
Over the year fuel price has climbed 27p a litre! Over the same year I have purchased 1099.46 litres at a total cost of £1275.05. 11 days between the quickest refill and 20 days between the longest. Bit sad but kept the info on an excel spreadsheet out of interest.
The vehicle shows me to be averaging 31.5 mpg. I only wish you could have the ECO drive mode as the default, sometimes I forget to choose this mode of drive. Anyway thanks for reading this far.

I configured custom to have ECO engine, everything else as default (comfort??) got used to double pressing the drive mode button pulling away. I'm really impressed just how far the car will coast!

P.S. Another excel stats geek.

Another data/stats geek here! :)
I've been tracking my cars' fuel for more than 15 years so far. Excel is just as a backup, while my main app is "Road Trip" (you can find the free version at https://apps.apple.com/us/app/road-trip ... d299392794). It tracks the fuel prices too, so it's interesting to see the price chart since the beginning of 2020.
I got my (used) D4 AWD in November 2020 and the fuel chart mostly goes up since then :( On the other hand, I'm glad I learned how to drive it efficiently, so my consumption chart mostly goes down and the price per mile chart is mostly straight.
My average consumption is 34 mpg (6.9 l/100 km), which is not bad for a D4 AWD 140kW beast driven on highway and open roads mostly. The longest it took for a refill is some 25 days.
ECO mode is great on open roads, but I'm avoiding it if I'm going up the hill on highway, plus when going downhill the consumption without ECO mode is usually 0 due to engine braking, while in ECO mode is slightly higher.

I was under the impression that’s the other way around: in ECO mode going downhill will keep the engine idling at 750 rpm, whereas without ECO mode engine breaking will keep the engine above 2000 rpm, hence increasing consumption. Am I missing something here?

My MPG is always 30.something or 31.something.

My driving is either 2-10 mile local stop-start journies, or like the weekend gone, a 400-mile smooth motorway trip.
Makes no difference!
